The Dragon Hotel endeavours to operate in an environmentally friendly manner in particular reducing food miles by sourcing locally in this richly vibrant agricultural area.

All glass, cardboard, newspapers, tin, plastic, waste foodstuffs etc. are recycled.

Low energy and LED light bulbs are used in appropriate places.

Where possible, time clocks are used to minimise energy waste.

A 17th century building has the benefit of being built with natural wood, stone and local brick but is regretably not built to be energy efficient. Extra insulation, double glazing and draft control measures have been introduced where compatible.

The buliding has been checked and found to be clear of dangerous asbestos.
