It is our intention to be as welcoming as possible to all, within the limitations of a 17th century building located on a fairly steep slope. Our staff are keen to assist all our guests, to help ensure a pleasant and relaxed visit. The Dragon Hotel is strictly non smoking.
Entry is via steps at the front of the building on the old Market Square; there is an entry phone to request assistance on arrival. This grants access to reception, bar, and restaurant. There is also access from the private car park at the rear of the hotel. There is level access from the car park to the upper part of the split level bar. Our public toilet doors are not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. All our bedrooms are on 1st or 2nd floor and it is not possible to install a lift or stair lift. All staircases have handrails. Our rooms have a mix of baths and showers please ask when booking to suit your requirements.
We allow dogs in certain bedrooms by prior arrangement. There is a charge of £10.00 per dog per night (2 small dogs are allowed in one room for a reduced charge of £15.00 per night. We ask that dogs are not allowed on the furniture and that you bring your own basket or blankets for them to sleep on. We also request that only 'dry' food be given to them in the hotel rooms. Animals are not permitted in rooms where people are or may be eating. There are no restrictions on guide dogs, hearing dogs or registered assistance dogs.
