Montgomery Castle A visit to Montgomery would not be complete without the short walk up to Montgomery Castle to take in the history and stunning panoramic views.
St Nicholas’ Church The attractive, 13th Century, Grade I listed, St Nicholas Church, with a number of historic features.
Weekly Market A small market in the Town Hall every Thursday and Saturday, with a larger market on the first Thursday of each month.
The Old Bell Museum The Old Bell, a 16th century inn, has been converted into a local history museum by Montgomery Civic Society. Run by volunteers, it is the winner of a Prince of Wales Award. Eleven rooms house displays illustrating the long social and civic history of the ancient County Town of Montgomeryshire.
Bunner’s Family Ironmongers Located just off the town centre, this is an Aladdin’s cave of everything you will ever need. Although small on the outside, it extends back, down, up and out and is always worth a visit.
Montgomery Trails is a set of walking and cycling trails in and around Montgomery. They are all circular trails and take in some of the stunning countryside views and features off the area. They are available as printed leaflets in the hotel, from the Institute / Tourist Information Centre in Arthur Street, or as downloadable versions online.

A small market town at the centre of magnificent, unspoilt hill country. The prominent 18th century Town Hall, which has undergone a major renovation, stands at the top of the main street, and is the centre for much activity in the town.
